What has become of the elegantly dressed man and his sober suit? He and those of his number are increasingly thin on the ground. While some might say that classic style is making a comeback, on the whole, we are not as well dressed a people as we were a century ago.
We have to face it: as time wears on, so wither our chances of daily contemplating elegantly dressed man; if we do chance to spot him, the eye barely settles on his sumptuous lines and contours before he dashes around a corner or is lost in a crowd. He is but a glimmer, a phantom, a mirage. One begins to wonder, was he ever really there?
